About Dr. Luna

Dr Alex Luna is a Columbia and Cornell trained adult, child, and adolescent psychiatrist and psychotherapist based in New York. Dr Luna offers both medication management and psychotherapy across a number of modalities, including psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), executive functioning coaching, and supportive therapy. Therapy is not a one-size fits all approach and as a result, Dr Luna focuses on tailoring your care to your specific needs.

Outside of his practice, Dr Luna also works as an attending psychiatrist supervising Columbia psychiatry residents at the New York State Psychiatric Institute. Dr Luna completed his undergraduate major in Cellular Neuroscience at Colgate University. He completed medical school at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, where he then stayed on for residency, followed by his training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the combined Columbia-Cornell fellowship.
